Operation Instructions

Model 135

How to wind the watch

  • Unscrew the crown counter-clockwise from the normal position to the winding position.
  • With the crown in the winding position, rotate the crown clockwise 55 turns to fully wind the mainspring. If the second hand is not already moving, you may need to gently shake the watch to start it.
  • Screw the crown clockwise while pushing down at the same time, to screw the crown back to the normal position. You do not need to screw the crown down too tightly, but it is important that the crown is fully seated for water resistance.
  • As you wear the watch, the motion from your wrist will keep the automatic movement wound. If the watch is fully wound but unworn, the mainspring retains enough energy to keep the watch running for up to 41 hours, this is known as the “power reserve”.

How to set the time

  • Unscrew the crown counter-clockwise from the normal position to the winding position.
  • Pull out the crown to the time setting position (second click). Note that the second hand has stopped, this is known as a “hacking” function and allows you to set the time with precision.
  • Rotate the crown clockwise to set the hour and minute hands. Check that AM/PM is set correctly by moving the hour hand past the 12 o’clock position to see if the date changes. If the date changes as you pass 12 o’clock (mid-night), then you are in AM.
  • Push the crown back to the winding position.
  • Screw the crown clockwise while pushing down at the same time, to screw the crown back to the normal position. You do not need to screw the crown down too tightly, but it is important that the crown is fully seated for water resistance.

How to set the date

  • Note, do not set the date between 9:00 PM and 4:00 AM, as this will cause a malfunction. If in doubt, set the time first, and check whether you are in AM or PM using the steps described above in “How to set the time”.
  • Unscrew the crown counter-clockwise from the normal position to the winding position.

  • Rotate the crown counter-clockwise to quick-set the date.
  • Push the crown back to the winding position.
  • Screw the crown clockwise while pushing down at the same time, to screw the crown back to the normal position. You do not need to screw the crown down too tightly, but it is important that the crown is fully seated for water resistance.

How to remove the strap

  • Changing the strap on your watch is a great way to change the look of your watch to suit the occasion. Removing the strap is quite simple, and is made even easier due to the through-drilled case lugs.
  • Using a spring bar removal tool (available on the accessories page of the website), insert the pin end of the tool through the case lug hole to depress the end of the spring bar.
  • Gently pull the strap away from the case. You may need depress the opposite end of the spring bar also.
  • As you remove the strap, be careful not to loose the spring bar. Replacement spring bars and a selection of straps are available on the accessories page of the website.

General care, maintenance, and servicing

  • While your watch should generally be maintenance free, to prevent the chances of unwanted scratches, damage, and corrosion, you should try to keep your watch as clean as practically possible. Your watch can be cleaned with a soft dry cloth, or for stubborn dirt, a moistened toothbrush can be used.
  • Your watch has been vacuum leak tested to -760mm of mercury, which is equivalent to 1 bar, or 10 meters (33 feet) of water pressure resistance. This level of test is suitable for exposure to handwashing and rain, but we do not guarantee or recommend full submersion i.e. swimming. Please do not tamper with the pressure testing port on the back of the watch.
  • Scratches to the case and acrylic crystal can happen over time through normal use. Case polishing wool (available on the accessories page of the website) can be used to remove light scratches from the case. Polywatch (also available on the accessories page of the website) can be used with a soft cloth to polish out light scratches from the acrylic crystal. We build our watches to be worn and enjoyed, and believe that every scratch tells a story!
  • Your watch contains a precision engineered mechanical moment. We recommend a full service every 5-8 years, depending on usage. The design and construction of our watches typically requires specialist tools for disassembly and reassembly, so we recommend contacting us for servicing. Having your watch serviced is crucial to maintaining its accuracy, longevity, and water resistance.
